DAVID BROOKS, “NEW YORK TIMES”: Obama‘s problem is he doesn‘t seem like a guy who can go into an Applebee‘s salad bar and people think he fits in naturally there.
It doesn't matter how this is said, how well meaning, the context, politics, whatever; if a white guy says this, it is gonna sound racist. And I have little faith in people today, so I tend to think that subconsciously this guy is thinking about the color of Barack's skin.
