This question came up on another website...
Does the true atheist, one who has feared not to question everything, thereby being completely devoid of faith in anything including the meaning or purpose of one's life, have any reason to live?
Commenting on it, someone else asked a similar question. Since christian doctrine implores people to live good lives in order to win salvation and a place in 'heaven', why are not more christians following a truly christian life, as Jesus supposedly would have, just waiting for the end? In other words, if a christian's true and rightful place is in heaven, the most glorious place one could imagine, what do they have to live for?
