I've been giving thought to some pretty fuckin outlandish concepts. I thought I would try to give them voice and clarity here, but I am always apprehensive about such an endeavor, because it never turns out as I had hoped it would. Nevertheless I will try once again...
It is pretty simple really. First, the lottery. I know, why the fuck would anyone want to think about the fucking lottery, other than to contemplate the next purchase at the near futile chance to win. Such expletives for such a mundane subject! The purpose for such vulgarities is to weed out any that come across this and dismiss the ideas simply because of the foul language I use. See, I don't want to have anything to do with anyone who would dismiss anyone's ideas based solely on their language. Not that I think anyone really wastes their time on this drivel....
Anyway, lottery tickets. I have, up to this point, considered a lottery a good thing. It is a very good way to raise funds for all sorts of worthwhile enterprises. The truth of the matter is, a lottery plays on the hopes of people to find a 'better' way with little or no effort. We have, and still do buy lotto tickets every once in a while, so we are not immune to the draw. I try to convince myself that, if nothing else, I am contributing to a good cause, because the money ends up funding things like education and infrastructure. The delusion works.
But let's consider a scenario. Imagine a group of hard working individuals, earning their existence in the best most efficient way that the ability of their minds and muscle allow them to. It doesn't matter the number of people we are talking about, but we should grant them the totally preposterous character, each and every one, of achieving a level of activity akin to that stated above. I know this is unrealistic as hell, but it's just a scenario. These individuals do everything they can to the utmost of their ability, and are rewarded for their efforts with a calm contentment the likes of which is extremely rare. None of them seeks riches, material things, or even contentment beyond what they can consume, but all are aware of the possibilities of such abundance. Their reason suggests to them that such concepts offer only deception, because they are dimly aware that at least to some degree their present contentment is founded and dependent on everyone check any violation of their character in any way.
Now let's suggest that it has become clear that one among them will acquire a higher state of happiness and contentedness. All that is know to all is that things will change drastically for this person for the better, with no effort on their part, and their continued state of being will continue with no effort on their part. Nobody knows who it will be, but it is certain it will be one of them, and it will be a very desirable position to be in, but it will be weeks or even months for the change is 'status' for this unnamed individual.
An intriguing situation?
