So I figure I better say something about school, it being that we are all done. Finals were last week, what they call finals anyway. I was under the impression that finals meant that a person was tested on everything they learned over the semester. I assumed that ALL finals would be comprehensive, and that when they announced the final in Physiology would not be I assume it wasn't the norm. Made sense to me, for otherwise why would they announce it?
Most weren't though. Western Civ wasn't... well I take that back. Half were, and half weren't. Considering I only had four classes though, it's not really a good basis for conclusion. However, I talked to my wife's father, who attended college more than 30 years ago, and he says that most of his courses gave finals that weren't comprehensive. This was really surprising, cause I thought comprehensive finals were the norm.
So since the semester is over I pretty much know what my grades are going to be. Chemistry lecture and lab, both A, Physiology - B, English - B, and History I'll consider myself fortunate if I get a C. If that happens I'll have a 3.02 GPA. We'll see.....
