So when I press "1" for English, why is it I still get someone on the other end I can barely understand?

This is a foolish statement found on Facebook, and all over the Internet of course. An equally terse reply from someone touting an opposing viewpoint could say that conservative capitalists have moved their operations to places where the labor is cheaper. Or, to where the people are willing to work for less. This would imply that Americans demand too much compensation for their labors, or that capitalists are being unpatriotic. The simplistic sentiments disregard many more issues at hand.

There are many other simplistic comments asserted over the internet, which, it could be said go a long way toward hindering a true world community that could otherwise foster more understanding about the differences that divide the people of this world. These simplistic views encourage someone to lament the absence of like minded individuals and be done with it, rather than further the critical thinking process and focus on real injustices perpetrated by individuals intent on fostering hate and discontent for personal objectives.
