It is hard to believe that things have gone so far in Canada. Free speech is under attack by a panel called the Human Rights Commission. They are trying to get the publisher of a magazine to apologize for printing the pictures of mohammad. He videotaped a session with them, clips can be seen on his website.

What the fuck is the world coming to.....

A comment a made on the website, posted here because I don't trust a conservative as far as I can throw 'em.....

I don't think liberalism has anything to do with this. These are just people with power trying to impose their will on another. Their tactics are practiced mainly by oppressive theists, and those theists that speak the loudest are conservative.

As for the news coverage, they were a little too objective. They admit they will not show the pictures, crumbling to the oppression. And they call themselves a news organization. Christopher Hitchens spoke out against these laws at a debate in Canada, didn't do any good, though his speech was brilliant.

Basically, the law says the government can tell Canadian citizens what they should or should not be exposed to, taking the away from its citizens the right to decide for themselves.
