I saw a video with reporters asking Bush about Iran. What comes up too often is references over an imagined WWIII and an Iran with a nuclear weapon. I'm sure the administration, even though Bush refused to answer any questions, loves the hype. This is how they persuaded the country to back a conflict in Iraq. I wouldn't be surprised if the justification for not dispelling the hype is that a conflict with Iran during a presidential election would work to keep the administration in the hands of the republicans. I know more than one person that voted for Bush for this reason alone.
