Started class yesterday. The instructor is very energetic, down to earth and seems to like what she does. She also thanked Jesus several times yesterday. That symbol to the right is the background picture of the laptop I use in class. It will be interesting to see how she reacts to it if she ever sees it. I sit in the back, so chances are she never will, and chances are good she doesn't even know what an atheist symbol is. Hell, I didn't know until just a short time ago.
The syllabus was posted online, and it showed chapters two and three for the first week. Yesterday she started in chapter one. That would make sense, except that it doesn't follow the syllabus posted. My dumb ass assumed they would, and read chapters two and three. I'll be ahead when they are covered, but it's indicative of the disorganization in this program. Not that I blame them. There are only three instructors, and they teach and do a lot of administering for two classes of 30 students each. I'm sure they don't get paid enough, and they are doing the work of many more people, so the confusion is not surprising.
