There is supposedly a situation at Fort Dix in NJ, in which foreigners have been giving indications they wanted to kill some soldiers there. Of course some of them are Arabic.
Here is an excerpt from a story I read about it....
“If these people did something, then they deserve to be punished to the fullest extent of the law,” said Sohail Mohammed, a lawyer who represented scores of detainees after the 2001 attacks. “But when the government says 'Islamic militants,' it sends a message to the public that Islam and militancy are synonymous.
“Don't equate actions with religion,” he said.
Exactly what other message are we supposed to send? And, who exactly is responsible for the message? I could understand if there were no basis for such a label, but for this guy to bitch about us using it is laughable. Here we have people, some Arabic, making plans to kill US military personnel. What the fuck else are we supposed to think? WE sure as hell didn't make Islam synonymous with militancy, so he is barking up the wrong tree. If he wanted to do anything, complain to someone, he should be complaining to those that are giving Islamists a bad name.
Of course, then they would call for his head....
