A picture of a rally, one of thousands, according to the news article, from across the country. These rallies are supposed to be urging Congress to step it up on the climate.
I've read 'evidence' from both camps about global warming. Just reading the mainstream media, you wouldn't know there were two camps. There is. Neither has convincing theories about what is really going on with the climate, or indeed if there is anything at all going on.
But I look at the picture above, from mainstream media, and wonder why they picked this particular photo. They must have had dozens to choose from, there were demonstrations across the country after all. In the picture above, I don't see any adults. So, is what is the message being sent, or what are they trying to convey? I would think it is an attempt to show that these kids are concerned about their future, I've heard it before, what kind of world are we going to be leaving our kids. I heard this as a teenager, and was appalled at the attitude of adults, they didn't care about what things were going to be like when I was an adult. Well, I'm an adult, hearing the same thing. These kids aren't even teenagers. Are they out there because they know what the dangers are? I really don't think so. A parent handed them the sign and told them to stand there, and I would bet they've been instructed to start yelling their fool heads off if they saw a camera. They look as if they were having fun. I see nothing but smiles, and they definitely don't look worried.
Not that I think there is nothing to worry about. But pictures like this don't really help the cause, if there is a cause that needs support.
