My stepson has a project for history class. He is supposed to ask a series of questions to a number of people, what he is supposed to do with them I have no idea, but I thought I would put the questions here, and the answers I gave.

1. What do you value about America?

Freedom of speech, a free press, the liberties we have.

2. How do you feel about America (the laws, government, military, etc.)?

It has its deficiencies, but it is still the best thing going in the world. America is still too imperialistic and that's the real reason we are in Iraq.

3. What are some of the ways we could improve our society?

Spend more on education, quit holding greed in such high regard, expect accountability of everyone.

4. In your opinion, what is a hero? Who do you think some of America's heroes are?

Someone that holds true to a set of values based on reason and a sound education. John McCain, Hillary Clinton, Jon Stewart

5. Where do you see America in ten years?

I had no answer for this one.

6. What do you think are some of America's biggest problems?

The health of the average American, the low standards for education, Americans are too materialistic

7. Do you think there should be another military draft?

I think everyone should spend 2 to 3 years in the military or some sort of public service.

Those were my answers. Maybe I'll put this in an email and start another chain letter. It wouldn't go far, people would have to think too much to answer the questions, and that's not the average American's forte right about now.
