I've started classes again. The writing class is short story writing. One of the many assignments is a letter explaining why a fictitious assignment is late. So, I'm supposed to write an 'excuse letter'. I guess the dog ate it would be too mundane, and has been used a thousand times. Has it ever been used, really? It's one of the oldest jokes on the books but...

He talked about a student from an earlier class that handed him a wad of paper with a post it placed on top. Forget what the excuse was, but I think a fake pile of dog shit, sliced in strategic spots for paper scraps insertion would be just a little too over the top.

Funny, I'm sitting at work, my third weekend at this position, first on my own, and rarely were interruptions. Nobody came in here. Since starting this post to encourage ideas for this assignment there have been two interruptions. One person was looking for the doctor I'm assisting, the other was the Doc himself. Interesting....

There's an idea. I'm working my ass off taking classes and doing 60 hours a week as an assistant at a radiology company, and I thought I could get my homework done during some down time, which isn't happening as I'd planned. Too mundane. I need to spruce it up with some gruesome shit plausible for a hospital...

Yeah, a dissatisfied patient has been looking for the Doc, and he took us hostage!! Could work...
