Schiavo is dead, and the Pope is dying. I of course don't pay too much attention to what is happening with the Pope, for obvious reasons. I'm looking at the newspaper that serves this city, and they have a link to an interactive legacy thing. Not sure why I clicked on it, but I did. One of the first things they talk about is how he cracked down on people straying from church teaching. To do this, he says this...

"The Church cannot be an association of free thinkers."

Hmmmm. This is why I don't get along with religeous doctrine. They are all the same, one is not allowed to think for oneself, one needs to think as they think, or you can't be 'saved', or whatever passes for the ritualistic rite of passage. They would all have us stagnate and wither. One is just not allowed to think outside the box. I know, it's all a big test for us the 'almighty' is using to see who gets the good afterlife and who gets left behind. Think outside the box, and you are doomed!! I just can't believe it..........
