I saw a bumper sticker yesterday, made me think. I remember specifically, I was coming off the freeway and some woman was next to me in her car. I remember the car because she had sped past me on the bike in order to get way up in front, only to be there when I putzed up beside her. Anyway, the bumper sticker.....

Normal People Worry Me!!

I didn't think TOO much about it, until that is I didn't have traffic to worry about, like while walking to class. Now why in hell would a normal person worry someone? You would think that it would be the abnormals would get to people. But of course I thought about it a little more. I would tend to think that I would worry someone, because I'm not normal. But I got to thinking what is really normal, and when you really think about it, nobody is really normal, because .....

Here is the definition of 'normal'

Conforming with, adhering to, or constituting a norm, standard, pattern, level, or type

So, a norm would depend on a context, which changes all the time. So being normal isn't really possible. So, if this isn't possible, then a 'normal' person would tend to worry someone who realizes it isn't possible. If somone 'seems' normal, then there is something wrong, because we know it to be false, and the person is putting on a front. Do you trust someone that puts on a false facade? Of course not, beca.....

This gives me an idea. We are sposed to comment on a picture for English. It can be one of ours, or one from the book. One from the book shows the characters from the old sitcom called The Donna Reed Show. It shows the doctor in a chair surrounded by his family, with his wife on one side, daughter on the other, son behind. They are all smiling, family 'properly' attired. I always thought that people such as these made me uncomfortable because I am fr0m the ghetto, consider myself white trash. In light of the thoughts brought on by that bumper sticker, I think they bother me because there appears to be nothing wrong, but you know there always is.
