A former pharmacist said Monday he refused to fill a college student's prescription for birth control pills or transfer it to another pharmacy because he did not want to commit a sin.
Huh!?! There's more...
She (his lawyer) described him as a devout Roman Catholic and said any punishment would violate his constitutional right to religious expression.
What?! You mean this guy refused to fill a prescription because... no, no, no.... he has a constitutional right to refuse to dispense medicines? This is a person of medicine. Let's see now, can a Dr. decide not to treat someone because of their theological beliefs? What the fuck is going on?!?! Have people completely lost their minds? I guess we need to hone our noose making skills, so we can start hanging witches again. I mean, seriously, isn't this a form of persecution?! Aren't we supposed to be 'civilized' enough by now to be able to recognize this kind of shit?
My wife is all up in arms about it, so I'm getting an earful. I don't mind though, I like hearing her talk. :-) But wait!! I just read the rest of the article. This guy says HE'S being persecuted!!! What the fuck does he call it when he refused medical treatment for this woman?
In his testimony, Noesen talked about God's law and accused Zwieg of harassing him. "It's good for a person to be persecuted," he said when asked by his lawyer how the proceedings have affected him. "Really, it helps you grow in your faith."
I really don't care whether this fucker feels the need to 'grow in his faith', but what happens when this medical treatment he's refusing, cause that's exactly what it is, what happens when it's crucial to a person's survival? I don't think this asshole's faith is even slightly more important than someone's health and well being.....
