So I'm heading in to school today, and my last class is Chemistry so I parked on the opposite side of the campus. There's lots of construction going on there, and I pass one on this route I took today. It was between 10:00 and 11:00, and as I was going through the intersection the construction site is off the to left. Now, when I arrive most days early in the morning it is empty of course. These aren't Marines that do a day's worth of work and then eat breakfast, but then again I do get there almost an hour early. Anyway, the construction dudes were lined up just inside the fence, sitting eating as if they are at the drive-in. There were lots of people going by, mostly students of course, and these guys were just taking it all in. Someone needs to take a picture of them lined up like that and show it to them. Wonder if they even care. It's too funny though, if that wasn't the stereotypical ball-scratchin construction worker, I don't know what is.

The first debate was today. I caught the last half hour cause I was on campus studying late, but from what I saw Kerry was out strong. He finally comes across as if he really means what he says.

Bush talks about staying the course, and not bowing to pressure.

And it is one of the things I've learned in the White House, is that there's enormous pressure on the president, and he cannot wilt under that pressure. Otherwise, the world won't be better off.

What if that pressure is coming from the American people? Hmmmm, I thought the President was a representative of the people...... I think most of the American people want out of this 'war'. When I say most, I am discounting those that think we should be ruling the world. I think there are a lot of Bush supporters that actually believe this....
