This is supposed to be funny, but to me it isn't. Humor is supposed to have a ring of truth, and I guess I don't find it funny because there aren't any underlying truths here, as I see it. Any stand up comedian has to at least give the impression that their bits are based in reality in some way. It reminds me the few episodes of The Half Hour News Hour show, Fox News effort to answer The Daily Show. It was painful to watch, because they assumed the conservative talking points and agenda as truth. As long as you are poking fun at the truth, it works. Even on with Jon Stewart, it doesn't work all the time, because they strain to pull the humor out of something and it's obvious. Or when they obviously stage humor for a guest, it can sometimes become painful to watch.
