So I'm looking at the news, and I see that most polls have Obama by a fair to slim margin. To me, McCain is touting his party's line, and therefore would be unreliable as the president. The policies of the last eight years are so detrimental, have been, that McCain could have spewed liberal shit and still would have taken it by a landslide. He felt the need to appease the 'base', rather than go with his true convictions, which I still think in reality are more sensible than the mantras he has forced on himself.

I am still amazed at the slim margin though. There are too many people that feel the need to vote conservative no matter what, and too many people, according to my wife, that aren't willing to see a black man in the white house. I guess I've known it all along, we are still too stupid and racist here in America for this to be uncontroversial.
