I don't read this site regularly, but I did come across it in what little time I have to check things out on the Internet. I got this from Norm, which I do read most every day.

Think Progress banned.

Shit like this isn't really surprising coming from the military. It is rife with people that come up with all kinds of weird policies that have no value, and implement them thinking they are doing a great service because they have some type of authority. The military establishment generates a shitload of useless paperwork that wastes time an money because of this. Anyway, it looks like someone lost sight of the spirit of the constitution and thinks that it doesn't apply when you have to follow someone else's orders.

David Letterman had Bill Clinton on a week after Hillary. I don't know why I can't get past some things. He's a politician, of course, and he comes out on stage just as he does anywhere else. He points out in the audience at nothing in particular, a smooth move that looks good but means nothing, then he points over to Paul Shaffer. He does it so often it is phony, or seems so to me anyway. I could be wrong. Then Dave asks him about the campaign and running mates, they discuss it a little before talking about John McCain. I'm paranoid, but right away it struck me as choreographed. Putting a plug in for McCain, makes one wonder. Clinton said he admired the man, then as sort of evidence mentioned his military service, his forefather's service, and his stint as a POW. None of these by themselves are qualifications for President, least of all his pedigree. It is all circumstantial to the man's character, but nothing directly.
