Been looking at Plato and Aristotle in fits and starts. Doing this has prompted me to put down a couple of things.

Some of what Plato was getting at in The Republic was the concept of Justice. Justice concerning the individual and communities. To me, a fundamental moral, individual right, (not really sure how to label this yet... principle?) is individual liberty. Complete individual liberty is a basic quality of human beings that should be recognized by all.

Justice is simply consideration of this principal by everyone. From this it can be stated that one's individual liberties, or how far a person's liberties extend, depends on their social interaction. The more people one interacts with, the more constraints are imposed.

On another note, Michael Moore has said he gets support from everyone except the health insurance industry for his new film. This may be paranoid, but one way to make him go away with this film and the ideas behind it is to not necessarily support the film, but just quietly agree.
