In my opinion, for an act to be considered 'racist', it has to be intended as such.
For instance, friends addressing each other as 'nigger' is considered ok, but spoken between people unfamiliar with each other would not be ok.
Who gives a shit? I was reading an article on CNN, some kids had a party, and some of their antics could have been considered racist.
This is the line from cnn....
"They didn't know that they were being racist. It's really sad," said Ranniece McDonald, a junior who is black.
My point is, how can someone be considered racist if they don't know they are? Sure, even if these people were unaware, it could still be inappropriate, but the correct course of action would be to educate them, not label them.
