Some men were leaving a strip club in NYC after a bachelor party there when a vehicle some of them were driving was shot up by police. The groom was killed.

Those are the only facts that can be reliably gleaned from all the press about the incident. The only pertinent facts anyway. The story has been in the news for days, yet apparently nobody knows what really happened. There are a lot of people saying they know, but it isn't very reliable information, everyone wants their own spin put on it.

It's sad. The police were there, the ones that discharged their firearms, why not get the story from them? Aren't they supposed to be the epitome of virtue? They won't speak, protecting themselves. What does that say about law enforcement in general? Sure, they have to protect themselves, but now their lives aren't in danger, so consideration should go to the public. Their lifestyles may be in jeopardy, but that should come second to the public, because they are supposed to be serving the public.

Of course it doesn't help that the man killed was black. And it certainly doesn't help that Sharpton is there flashing the race card. Him and Jesse Jackson I don't trust, because I don't trust anyone that makes it a point of stirring up hate and discontent whenever possible. It seems those two are vying to be the next leader akin to ML King.
