News organizations play right along with people's desires to experience tragedy, or maybe the need the authorities have for people to live in a state of fear, which is evident in this story from CNN...
While the storm didn't deliver its expected punch, the threat of heavy rain and tornadoes remains a concern, forecasters say.
In other words, it wasn't as bad as we anticipated, but there is still a chance. A comment added that would fit right in could be '... So there could be devastation yet, you still need to be afraid!'
