There is a storm coming ashore in Florida today. It was big news this season, the first after the big Katrina disaster. News organizations play right along with people's desires to experience tragedy, or maybe the need the authorities have for people to live in a state of fear, which is evident in this story from CNN...

While the storm didn't deliver its expected punch, the threat of heavy rain and tornadoes remains a concern, forecasters say.

In other words, it wasn't as bad as we anticipated, but there is still a chance. A comment added that would fit right in could be '... So there could be devastation yet, you still need to be afraid!'
