It's time to update the books read list again. Can't remember where I left off, but I will start with the Anne Rice book. It was called The Witching Hour, and it was extremely long. I also noticed she put in a plug for the pro-lifers, because she devoted a few paragraphs to describing the state of the fetus throughout the pregnancy. She integrated it well, but she used a lot of phrases and terminology that you expect to hear from a pro-lifer. It was a good book, but the first in a series, and I'm not sure when I'll get around to the rest of the series, just like the vampire series, not sure when I'll get around to the rest of those.
Then there was Confessions of an Economic Hit Man by John Perkins. I think I already talked about this one, but it was very interesting. At times the self justification was a little tiresome, but if you could get around the flaws there was some good information. That got me into Graham Greene, because Perkins says he talked to this author in Panama over a breakfast. I found Our Man in Havana by Graham Greene and finished it in a few days. Good book, but you can tell it's dated.
Oh yeah, I did Cat's Cradle, by Kurt Vonnegut. That got me looking into his others, and now I'm into God Bless You, Dr Kevorkian. Short one, but I think it will be good.....
