President Bush takes responsibility. He accepts all blame. He passed the buck to nobody.

This is such a farce. What the fuck is anyone really gonna do about it, whether Bush accepts blame or not. He is only accepting blame because there will be no consequences. The blame is ultimately there anyway, but he really isn't taking responsibility, because if he did he would have stepped down as the FEMA chief did. But that's just it, nothing is expected of him, nothing will change.

Then there's the talk about the money needed for the relief effort. He is confident we can handle it. Right. He is expecting the public to once again acquiesce and let him do what the fuck he wants. We are supposed to be compliant and put everything in his hands, because he is confident. His confidence is why we are in such a huge deficit now. He says we don't need to raise taxes, and we need to get them good tax relief. Tax relief. It will work just as the handouts worked when the towers in New York were hit. There was a company here in Tucson claimed government assistance after that happened, and got it.

It's gonna cost money, but are we going to be wise about the money we spend? If you really think about it, ANY money spent would not be wise. If I were in debt up to my eyeballs it would be foolish to borrow more money to try to make things happen. He talks about spending money to get the economy going. Here's a plan. Get the homes rebuilt so the people can move back. Don't worry about the businesses, where there are people, there will be money spent. Those that handle the commerce think that the tax breaks are nice, but they aren't necessary because the people will be spending money regardless, and where there are people spending money, there is always someone there to help them spend it. How about we let capitalism work its magic.

I guess I need to quit bitchin and get my ass ready for work.....
