Oh boy!!!! My wife sent me an email about a book that made the news called Checkpoint. It's a book about two guys talking, one of them wants to kill the president. According to what I've read, it's the author's way of stating what's wrong with Bush in his opinion. I of course looked it up on Amazon. Sometimes the reviews are helpful, other times they leave me baffled. Here's the first one concerning this book....

This book is likely to be much - and passionately - discussed. And anything that discusses the advisability of assassinating the President - any President - will draw the attention of the secret service. Keep that in mind as you post your comments here in this public forum.

Assisinate Bush
Kill Bush
Murder Bush

According to this person, the secret service is going to be at my doorstep within a few hours of posting this. :-) Reminds me of when I suggested making these comments a few years ago here in this blog, and my wife got extremely apprehensive about it. (Extreme apprehension, there must be a term for that concept. Fear perhaps?) She is always saying that it might be a good thing if someone did take care of Bush. Sometimes, if a particular rant is really rolling, she'll just flat out say she wishes someone would kill the guy. I guess she still feels safe in our home, and that the republicans haven't installed listening devices in the house anywhere.
