Damn, people actually read this shit!! Well, other than people I know. I know my wife does, and my sister did once cause she commented on something I said about my brother. Oh yeah, Big G reads it sometimes cause he comments on things when I talk to him on the phone. I'm always surprised when I find out others do though. Like today for instance. I'm checking out a newsgroup for a game I'm trying to replace because there's a problem with the image of the first disc (the one I need, of course. I hear Alanis again.....). So I post a reply to see if I'm doing something wrong (always my first assumption), or to see if anyone else is having the same problem. When I use Agent to post, it posts my signature with the excerpt from Bill Maher, and a link to this blog. Somebody replies and right away I'm thinking I'll have a clue as to how to fix the problem with the image file. Well, no. Someone commented on this here blog.

Speaking of blind beliefs......you are a conspiracy ridden moron.

If you applied that sharp mind to your party you would see that both
parties are equally corrupt.........The Clinton's are the most
crooked, megalomaniacal people this country has ever seen.

So this person tries to insult me, ('moron' is used quite often in the newsgroups when people are flaming each other) compliments me on a 'sharp' mind (of which there is evidence to the contrary right here in this blog), and then proceeds to make an assumption about my thoughts on politics from what little I've written here.

Did I say somewhere in here the Clinton's weren't corrupt? I think I've said something about Hillary becoming president, but that by no means should infer I don't think she is corrupt. She may be less corrupt than most politicians, but the very nature of politics in our government makes it necessary for a person to use their ability to be corrupt every now and then to achieve their goals. It would take a government of machines to run a country without corruption, but with people everyone has to deal with imperfections and emotions, which inevitably brings out the worst in people at times. In fact, the best systems we can come up with are doomed to imperfection because of the imperfections of the very people that govern and are governed.

I looked up megalomaniac at dictionary.com......

A psychopathological condition characterized by delusional fantasies of wealth, power, or omnipotence.
An obsession with grandiose or extravagant things or actions.

Bill? Most definitely. Hillary? Hmmmmmmmmmmm...... She's a smart woman, but it's still possible that she has or will fall prey to the temptations inherent in positions she has and may yet find herself in.

I really must get to digging those holes for the trees in the back.........
